Hi Stefan,

the Upload (feel-lucky-package) is running just in this Moment! Very Happy

The CAB Files you can open with the Freeware Tool "CAB Manager" or "CAB Extract" or "WIN CE Cab Analyzer". Google the Words an you will find them!

Most of this Freeware must not be "installed". It´s ok to copy them only on the SD Card and start them from there!

Regards
Juergen

Hi Admin,
On changing my registry, I've crashed my Netbook. CE Geek tell me that you have the files to reflash my device. Is it possible to get them from you? That would help me a lot. I need my device for the next week, because I have a lot of emails stored on it. Please contact me a.s.a.p.
Many thanks
Patrick

OK. But which of this files contain the Rom-Image? Or, another question...Is there a possibility to stop the boot-process and access the netbook via a Dos-Config or so? I think not, but who knows! The only change I have to make in fact, is to restore the desktop-path in the registry to his initial value, that's all. Can I access the registry in any way, without having to flash the entire ROM?
TNX for answer or suggestion.

PocketDOS/Arm : try the Geos Ensemble (tm) OS

Geos Ensemble is a 16 bits graphical OS which runs on MS-DOS file system. The rights are owned by www.breadbox.com, which site is interesting for the devices which ran Geos code. You can pay a visit safely to their web site, and may download the Ensemble Lite demo version at :

http://www.breadbox.com/downloads.asp?category=Ensemble Lite&maincategory=Ensemble Lite

Place the Geos files with WinImage shareware on a partitionned and formated virtual disk created within PocketDOS, and lauch your Dos environnment from A:>, a booting virtual floppy with FreeDos 7.10

You cant get a FreeDOS booting floppy from Oxford JPC (Java PC) : you just rename the JPCApplication.jar JPCApplication.zip and extract floppy.img with WinZip or Total Commander under Windows XP or Seven.

Check that your Geos.ini configuration file is set with

[system)

fs = os2.geo

launch the OS via Ensemble.bat

and enjoy ! The rights for this system make it affordable for Educationnal Institutions who can't pay numerous Windows licenses, and if you like it, you can purchase one or several licenses from Breadbox. Note that Geos can manage touch screen pen based tablets.

An interesting 30 days trial software with an outstanding GUI to be embedded in cars :

http://forums.fluxmedia.net/centrafuse-wince-beta/13567-please-read-first.html

Soft to download :

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/28660381/WinCE%20Repo/ARM/Centrafuse_4.0.14_CE_arm.cab

You will need .NET CF 2.0 to make it runs, download it there :

http://www.microsoft.com/fr-fr/download/details.aspx?id=22808

or there with only the ARM cab :

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/28660381/WinCE%20Repo/ARM/NETCFv2.wce5.armv4i.cab

It dosen't suit very well on my AK780x WinCE 5.0, perhaps things are better on a AK8802 WinCE 6.0

SSH.exe by Rainer Keuchel, not tested :

http://www.irongeek.com/downloads/PPCsshInstall.zip

This is a WinCE port of OpenSSH. Includes sftp and scp. Supports standard OpenSSH command line options. Needs to be setup before use (e.g. registry entries added, files put in correct places). Display truncated widthwise on small (e.g. 240x320)
displays. Environment option for font size mentioned, but appears to be ignored. Appears to dump the session contents (i.e. what the user types in, and the server sends back to the display) out to a debug file in the root dir of the device?!
ssh-keygen appeared to freeze when generating keys, but ssh worked OK with public/private keypair generated with standard OpenSSH under Linux.

Hi,
if you can test this one
(satellite tracking, again..)

PocketSat+ is a shareware application and will expire after 21 days if not registered. A registration code costs US$25 and
will work for all future updates of PocketSat+ for Pocket PC2k2.

http://www.bigfattail.com/software/pocketsatplus/pocketpc/index.html

To install the app from a PC running Windows (NDLR : with ActiveSync..), run PSPlusSetup2k2.exe, agree to the end-user agreement, and
choose the default installation location.

Pog

Apps that works must be tested but we need a good Registry cleaner, because a lot crash..

This type of program scan your registry and delete unused registry entries or delete keys left by uninstalled applications, and shows a detailed problem description on each key found so you can easely see what you are erasing. A good Registry Cleaner uses high-performance detection algorithm to quickly identify missing and invalid references in device registry.
These problems can occur for many reasons including being left-behind after the un-installation or incorrect removal of software, orphaned startup programs, etc.

Does somebody have got a proved Registry Cleaner?

Three text editors Knote, Kpad and NG :

http://www.oohito.com/wince/arm_j.htm

You need the KCTRL.DLL, available on the page, put in your \Storage Card\Editor directory.
This library dosen't seem to want to be located in the \Windows directory.
